Request Assistance with Applying for Benefits

Applying for benefits like SNAP, Medicaid, or disability can be stressful and confusing. We offer support when staff or trained volunteers are available. Our goal is to make the process less overwhelming and ensure you do not face it alone. Please understand that assistance is not always guaranteed.

How to Request

  • Stop by during open hours or call ahead to ask about availability
  • Staff will create a Help Request noting your need for benefits assistance
  • Requests are handled on a first come, first served basis

What to Bring

  • Any mail, forms, or notices you have received
  • Photo ID and proof of residency if available
  • Other documents such as pay stubs or medical information, depending on the benefit

Our Support

  • Staff or volunteers will walk you through the paperwork as time allows
  • We can help you understand the forms and what information is required
  • We may suggest other community partners for more in depth casework

Limitations

  • Assistance depends on staff or volunteer availability
  • We cannot guarantee immediate or same day completion of applications
  • We are not legal representatives or official benefit offices

Important Notes

  • Please be patient if staff or volunteers are helping others. We will assist as soon as possible
  • Bring as much documentation as you can. Incomplete forms may require follow up
  • If we cannot provide direct help, we will connect you with trusted community partners
